Upon graduating from
college, company owner, Rob Borman, searched for a way to ensure that
baseball would remain an integral part of his life. After spending much
of his college days training and playing baseball, he needed a way to
fill that void after graduation. Carpentry and wood working had always
been a passion of his and so, under the watchful eye of his father, he
took a shot at turning a baseball bat. "I was hooked from the first
time I flipped the switch on my lathe. I fell in love with the bat
making process and the rewards that come of it." Learning as he went,
Rob began spending more and more time in front of the lathe. While
using his bats during summer league games, he caught the interest of
some of his fellow players. From there the company began to grow with
the help of family and friends. Now players and coaches from Little
League to college use Yard Dogs to fill their wood bat needs. |
